Executive Chef Manzoor
opened Desi Chef Frozen
Foods in the summer of 2010.
He infuses every dish and
creates with his extensive
knowledge and passion for
perfection. In 1978, Manzoor
started his career as a Chef
for the Madras Palace, a well-
reviewed restaurant located
in New York, NY. Once word
of his tasty signature dishes
got out, offer from many well-
known restaurants landed on
his plate. Although he had an
affinity for the Madras Palace,
Chef Manzoor knew that
greater challenges and
opportunities awaited him in
New york.
In 1998, Manzoor began a
career as head chef and
owner for the Udupi Palace
also Banana Leaf in the heart
of the city of New York. He
was given room to
experiment, and created quite
an eclectic menu. However,
he never lost sight of his
passion for fine dining. He
knew that he wanted to step
beyond the kitchen and
create memorable
experiences for people.
Before he created his first
dish, he vowed to only use
the finest ingredients, and
prepare each dish with an
infusion of passion and
creativity. Critics have been
raving ever since, Guests
agree with the freshest
ingredients, and providing
courteous, responsive
service. All of our dishes are
made from scratch; creating
