For that matter those farms has NEVER used any chemicals or insecticides! The fertilizers are naturally grown throughout the plantation to create a rich bed of humus and a Permaculture environment has been created with the integration of Eucalyptus, Casuarina, Pomegranates and Citrus varieties maintaining the highest degree of bio- diversity. The olives used in all of organic products have been hand harvested at the peak of maturity. They are cold washed and hand selected for size and most appropriate use. All of those conditions qualify Olives as Certified Organic, which is (IFOAM & USDA/NOP approved) and is in compliance with EEC Regulation 2092/91 "Organic Production of Agricultural Products" It is important to know that Organic production of All Natural & Organic Olives also means agricultural practices that are sustainable and more in tune with the fragile condition of this planet of ours. Furthermore, all of the organic olives we represent are grown and processed in an exclusively organic farm so they never came near chemicals or pesticides like some so- called "organic olives" that are grown in the vicinity of and processed in the same facility as conventionally grown olives and other food products. | |||||||
